The models emerged from a thick fog, with their echoing bells announcing their arrival – it was as dramatic and mysterious as it could get. This collection just had 12 looks, like any other Viktor & Rolf Collection the focus was on quality, not quantity. The designers have always had a uniquely inventive approach in all their collections; especially their couture shows. To this day they have maintained their legacy.

Sound plays a central role, elevating the show as a ritual and allowing fashion to communicate beyond the garments. Bells integrated into the clothing and atmospheric fog contribute to a poetic experience. The weight and physicality of the collection shine through voluminous sleeves and dipped silhouettes, adorned with metal bells and soft ostrich feathers, creating a striking contrast. This collection showcases the designers’ conceptual and artistic approach. The recurring theme of the immaterial, the integration of sound, and meticulous craftsmanship create a visually captivating and thought-provoking experience. It also evolved feelings of an energetic dance performance, as a South Asian my first thought was Ghungroo filled Kathak dance practice I attended as a child.

Now this is how you Couture!
