Vauthier’s collection embodies French glamour with a focus on allure, tailoring and balance between restraint and glamour. The silhouettes range from 60s-inspired styles balancing masculine and feminine accents. Ruffles, bows and scarfs were used for detailing throughout the collection. The collection also features a more fluid and sensual silhouette inspired by Françoise Hardy, with sharply tailored pantsuits. Dramatic glamour bodysuits also make their mark in this collection. A white satin button-down with massively billowing sleeves remains one of my favorite pieces to date along with a striking green shimmery dress with coordinated boots. For me, this collection was a turning point in Vauthier’s trajectory; this collection solidified his contemporary unique take on traditional French glam.
