Donatella killed it with this collection, bringing that signature Versace ultra-sexy energy to new heights. Each piece exuded sophistication and elegance, leaving no doubt that they were Versace masterpieces. The sharp and sexy designs felt relatable with a late ’90s vibe. The cool-girl collection had everything a Versace woman could need, from strong-shouldered jackets and button-downs to little black dresses with signature gold hardware. The denim, tie-dye, and jungle print in classic green and bold new pink, red, and orange combos gave a casual-but-polished feel. Through it all, the collection maintained its modern spirit, giving the Versace woman a feeling of power and strength no matter the occasion.
At the end of the show, a voiceover asked Google to show images of the green Versace dress, and J.Lo stormed the runway, resulting in the fastest standing ovation ever seen in fashion. Versace chose J.Lo to end the show with a bang, and she made her runway debut in an updated version of her iconic green jungle dress from the 2000s Grammys. This year marks 20 years since the dress first appeared on Versace’s runway, leading to the creation of Google Images. The Italian fashion house paid tribute to J.Lo and is also a masterclass in fashion marketing!
