This collection ‘La Bomba’ began with Simon Porte Jacquemus looking at a picture of his mother at the beach in Southern France. Simple organic colors with occasional pops of gorgeous yellows. This is the collection when Simon truly found his feet; this collection solidified his sun-kissed sultry aesthetic. A big part of the collection was the sarong style draped skirts which are now synonymous with the brand’s design language.

A seductive freshness took over as seen in the plunging tops, sheer dresses, high slits, draped midi dresses, ankle-cropped pants, asymmetric cuts, skinny straps and bare backs. Looser silhouettes paired with relaxed comfortable styling elevated the clothes to runway pieces women would want to wear. Barely there dresses that exude elegance; this is the brilliance of Jacquemus and his vision. This is also the collection that debuted the now iconic and IG viral mini ‘Le Chiquito’ bag. Accessories boasted of Mismatched Earrings, scriptural heels and some giant straw hats. A collection that kick-started the Jacquemus era and made it the brand we know today.
