Inspired by the Christian Dior backstage back in the 50s; the clothes were classic in style and brazen in execution. Chic and daring; John Galliano presented us with clothes that make one seem uninhibited all made in vibrant lively colors. From seductresses to brides to barbies the collection presented range at its best. Intimates were reinterpreted as elegant outwear; Statement jackets and crinoline tulle gowns being the highlights. This collection manages to be ‘extra’ even with half-dressed models! Set in the Dior headquarters, this collection had fewer frills than most Galliano shows. The looks were topped off with dramatic hats and loaded with pearls; it was all very 50s and vampy!
