Dressed in Military ready clothes with ultra frizzed hair was Miuccia Prada’s woman in this collection. The clothes were heavy on textures featuring thick wools, devoré velvet, furs, knits and lux leathers; all done in immaculate sharp tailoring. The colors were mostly brown and block with occasional red and rust appearances leaning hard into a moody gloomy winter. There were standouts not limited to flapper dresses, big boots, extra deep necklines, 50s high-waisted shorts, big jacket lapels and fur dresses. And Prada will always give us some delicious coats, this collection was no exception. The show closed with some statement embellished leather fringed dresses. The collection is balanced between 80s power suits and wilderness; clothes with just the right amount of edge. A restrained and powerful collection.
