Retro 50s ish silhouettes and shapes reflect the playful yet sharp thought process of Mrs. Prada. Sweet pleated skirts, bandeau tops, scrumptious swimsuits, lace coats were some key items in the collection. As far as Prada prints go these are some of the prettiest ones. In this charming color palette, there was a lot of pink, aqua, yellow, red, orange along with some stabilizer shades. Rhinestone decorated varsity jackets were quite a statement piece, though Prada is always a statement.

Car printed dresses in modest silhouettes, fiery cars on leather skirts, flames printed on chiffon pleated skirts; this was all and all about cars. It is a testament to her brilliance how Miuccia Prada takes something so juvenile and elevates to ultra-lux ironic clothing.

Of course, this was the collection that debuted the now iconic Flame heels. The energy these heels give of? A very vintage lux car driven by a Don Draper esque back in the Cadillac days. The bags were also very retro and yes some had cars on them. This is a collection with obvious references which is rare for Prada. But unpredictability is basically part of brand DNA now.

A Prada moment among many this collection is one to remember. A retro-sporty collection that indulges in retrospection; this is Prada all the way!
