The somewhat gloomy energy that the show started off with was gradually paving the way for a wildly enchanting atmosphere. Refined menswear tailoring was a constant paired with soft mid-1900’s silhouettes.

The show started with a few looks all in shades of gray; Look one was a defining pinstripe gray pantsuit with a puffer stole. And I live for anything pinstripe so yes it was a good start. A slouchy coat with a midi skirt worn with sky-high boots was quite a look. Intriguing floral prints were a constant; introduced gradually till the whole collection was consumed by enticing florals. The floral had rather sophisticated and unusual placements. Chic silk dresses couldn’t have been chicer. Floral puffers trenches were a must-have and a sultry sequined floral dress with a tulle overlay(with a floral print) was an absolute dream.

DVN photographed 50 varieties of rose, three types of delphinium, and dahlia among many that were incorporated in the clothes. I wanted roses but not sweet roses — roses with an edge, roses for now,” DVN told Vogue. “Flowers can be romantic, but this I wanted to take out, because the times are tougher than in the past. So you see the diseases, the blackspot, the imperfections.”

Faux fur stoles and bags ranged in colors like neon orange, browns, and an elegant pink-purple; Boots were a staple along with Lucite heels. Chunky scattered glitter eye makeup was summed up the essence perfectly.

Each look was equal parts beautiful and radially eerie. An aspirational collection in a sense for a woman to dares to express herself.
