Against a vivid orange carpet so long it turned into the backdrop, Sally Lapointe showcased her most ambitious collection yet. Orange here represented determination, success, freedom.

The collection was all expectedly all monochrome dripping with luxurious fabrics. Sally designs for today’s women and it shows; her silhouettes carry a sense of freedom and comfort while exuding luxury and elegance. The color palette was extremely strong starting with white, beige, tangerine, rust, and a stunning teal.

Comfortable suit silhouettes, fancy fur trims, casual drapes, and surprisingly capes were the strong points in this collection and I’m here for it. The tailoring in this collection was a definite step up; mild poetic tailoring is not only beautiful but a necessity for today’s woman. And the hats? I do like me some dramatic hats. A colorblocked rust-teal leather suit was quite a treat also sported by Cardi B. Flare pants, shoulder cut-outs, nipped waists sequins, leather, satin came together to make this collection remarkable.

Probably the best Lapointe collection there has been; clothes ingrained with confidence, power, and elegance. Sally does really get it.
