The brand is only two years old but already boasts of a sense of maturity and understanding which seems to be rare in fashion. Peter Do certainly has that Philo charm that luckily trickled down to him. While some Old Celine lovers found comfort in New Bottega, Peter Do might be a capable contender. His primary goals seem to be creating practical yet luxurious clothing. While that’s a familiar goal his work reflects a sensibility and thoughtfulness. “It’s about building a modern uniform and wardrobe for women.” said Do to Business of Fashion. His designs remind one of a more feminine Helmut Lang or a more Masculine Celine (Philo obviously).

This collection featured precise tailoring, stylized layering, sharp silhouettes in a toned-down color palette. Suit sets were an absolute pleasure along with the jersey gowns. Accessories were a definite highlight also a smart move, with solid leather boots and brilliant bags such as the enormous leather tote was brilliant along with the triangular handbags. Comprised of some functional yet splendid skirts, leather apron-dresses, and a plethora of jackets and trenches. The whole collection can seemingly be mixed and matched and you wouldn’t need to think again. A minimal collection in every sense ends up being bold.

Where timelessness and quality clearly take the front seat, Peter Do shall soon join the likes of those who inspired him.
