‘Daywear, tailoring, and femininity are the elements of the new contemporary’

“I can’t see why women cannot look delicate and act tough,” said the designer in 2009. Though she seems to be moving away from her signature ethereal dresses that doesn’t mean that the Ferretti woman isn’t feminine. She seems to be more practical and real. Though this collection seemed like a seamless blend of Armani Prive and Clare Waight Keller’s Givenchy

This Alberta Ferretti collection started with exquisitely tailored looks in black and greys. With beautiful jackets and coats paired with high-waisted harem pants. With an overall Black collection, there were a few pops of color, through beautiful ruffled looks. The show closed with a few wonderful eveningwear looks. A very 80s modern collection for today’s women with strong commercial attractiveness. I feel this new direction Alberta Ferretti has taken with her brand is a smart move and seems to be doing well. The pre-fall 2020 collection was absolutely stunning and I cannot wait to see how it’ll move ahead.
