Nostalgia is a human weakness or sometimes power and with the 90s seeming farther away with time, we often reminisce of the iconic looks of the past. 90s fashion was iconic, definitely my favorite of all. Whereas fashion in the 80s was extravagant and flashy, 90sbrought back much-needed minimalism.but the 90s were wild in a wonderful way. Rachel from friends defined casual-sexy, the original supermodels ruling fashion and basically, anything from the Chanel runways is a global treasure.

The 90s was a mix of everything grunge, minimalism, color, monochrome god it was exhilarating. A lot of trends have repeated themselves in the recent past, be it chokers, flared jeans, slip dresses, plaid, tie-dye, and a million other things. Often when I want to style or outfit ideas I go vintage, cause every other look right now seems a generic version of the true vision of the 1990s, so why not be generic with some tips from the originals.

Grunge existed on the streets on every teenager and basically all over everywhere but it was brought into High Fashion by Marc Jacobs. While he was working for Perry Ellis he created one of the most iconic collections of all time, though not well received at the time it defined Grunge back then. Minimalism them felt different than now, it seemed more effortless. Now minimalism is a Trend, it is generally intentionally crafted. Back then it felt more real and for me real always beats anything else. The original supermodels played a vital role in the 90s fashion, The five Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Christy Turlington, Linda Evangelista, and Tatjana Patitz. These five women were influential in fashion back then, they still do. Their looks are saved on Pinterest boards of every other girl, trying to as hot as Naomi and as effortless as Cindy.
