Monsieur Lacroix describes French haute couture as “eternally dying and paradoxically constantly being reborn from its ashes”. I mean if that isn’t one of the most dramatic things you have ever heard I don’t know what is. Christian Lacroix restores my faith, in fashion and more. Christian Lacroix creates art, and this was basically art that you can wear. I know I know most of his collections aren’t exactly something you would actually wear but trust me if I could I would buy everything he created. He is one of my favorites ever and a legend if there was one. His work is literal magic. I’m sure it’s clear by now how much I love maximalist fashion and All I wait is for someone to be as striking and vivid as he was. Lacroix has that je ne sais quoi and no one can really match up to.
