I’ve always loved monochromes. It was only after discovering Sally Lapointe I understood how to appreciate monochromes. “Cool, easy, luxe.” This is how Sally describes her aesthetic. Strong and minimal silhouettes in an array of gorgeous colors is what Sally Lapointe stands for. Her collections are super chic yet exude casual and comfortable energy. I have always felt her collections are very effortless and relatable.
Her work is very democratic it caters to a large audience; no typical category of clientele per se. The way she mixes different materials and textures is quite interesting and inspiring. Her collections reflect her individual style and maybe that why I fell for Sally Lapointe Fur-trimmed sleeves, sequined dresses, and cashmere sweaters, Lapointe is far from conventional evening wear brands, there aren’t any chiffon gowns and tulle birthday dresses; surely one of the most wearable brands there are.
It is made for today’s women and has concepts of practicality and modernity deeply embedded into the brand. Color is undoubtedly a huge part of the brand and defines the brand. She talks about mixing hard and soft, being powerfully feminine and tough yet womanly. “I dress myself with strength every day, but it is important to not lose sight of your feminine self — behind closed doors,” Sally said this in an interview and I think this statement is the representation of almost all her collections.
